- All public services, organisations, banks and businesses close on public
holidays
- In the resort areas and coastal towns some shops and services do not close
- Banks do not close on December 24
- Police stations and hospitals do not close
- Names, addresses and telephone numbers of chemists (pharmacies, drug
stores) open on public holidays are listed in the daily papers. Or call
answer service numbers: Nicosia: 1412, Limassol: 1415, Larnaca 1414, Paphos: 1416,
Famagusta: 1413.
