UK Citizens

The consular services are particularly valuable to the UK resident in Cyprus. The consular office is able to help citizens with many difficult emergency situations as well as with official procedures such as passport renewal, registration of births and deaths and, in certain cases, it may speak to the local authorities on your behalf.

Britons in Cyprus

The British Government website has a section for Britons living abroad. The information is not specific to Cyprus but provides useful facts relevant to moving, relocating with a family or retiring abroad. It includes information on tax and pensions, education, employment, insurance, as well as having information on everything to be considered when returning to the UK after a period of time overseas.

US Citizens

The Embassy of the United States in Nicosia has a comprehensive website with up-to-date information on news and events affecting US/Cyprus relations, health matters, and safety. The Embassy also hosts a fairly busy programme of activities.
