Out For A Penny, In For A Cent...
As Euro changeover day approaches, it's a good idea to know what the replacement of the Cyprus pound means. That's why AngloINFO has put together an INFOrmation Page specifically covering the subject.

The general public will be able to buy Euro coin starter kits starting from the first half of December 2007 and the Euro will be Cyprus's official currency from 1 January 2008.
Before that, you should see prices being quoted in both Cyprus Pounds and Euros all over the country - businesses are obliged to do this from the beginning of September 2007 to the end of September 2008. The conversion rate that is used for this dual pricing is the official EU rate of €1 = £0.585274 that will be in force on 1 January 2008 - the actual exchange rate of the Euro (which remains a foreign currency until the changeover) will be variable up until that date, as you can follow on AngloINFO's INFOrmation Page that lets you convert sums at today's Exchange Rates.
