Just had my electricity bill in for the past 2 months, don't understand it we used less but the bill has risen, are we being taken for a ride!!!!!. Anybody else feeling they are getting ripped off. Have fuel tariffs risen.

Have gone past the stage of getting shocked with the costs here. This is the only country i know where the renting of property costs more than the average monthly wage and the elecy bills that land every 2 months on the doorstep should be for 6 months consumption.

I have no cents left to count

I agree with you Taz 09, but surely the goverment must know, I love Cyprus but if it carrys on like this for much longer, we will probably move back to the UK, and just use our house as a holiday home

Unfortunately many of us feel the same, whilst we came from our own choice it is also our choice to go. We are having the should we stay or go debate on a daily basis and this is not because we dislike it here it is because of the ever increasing costs to live here without the income to sustain it.

As far as i know they have been fined by EU for not finding ways of reducing emissions and consequently have passed on this cost to the consumer
